In a proactive move to deepen stakeholder engagement and boost local commercial infrastructure, the Hon. District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bia East, Hon. Francis Amankwaa, embarked on a working visit to the Kaase Market.
The visit was aimed at interacting directly with market traders, listening to their operational concerns, and officially announcing plans for the construction of a new, modern market facility to replace existing trading structures and elevate commercial activities in the area.
Accompanied by key officers from the District Works Department, Planning Unit, and Central Administration, the Hon. DCE held an open-forum consultative durbar with market women, youth traders, and local leadership at Kaase.
To the excitement of the gathering, Hon. Francis Amankwaa officially announced that the Assembly in collaboration with the Hon. Member of Parliament has finalized preparations to construct a new modern market facility equipped with better stalls, improved sanitation amenities, and secure storage spaces. He further emphasized the market women and traders are the backbone of the district’s local economy. Visiting Kaase Market today allows management to look them in the eye and assure you that help is here. Management took the opportunity to sensitize traders on proper solid waste management, environmental cleanliness, and cooperation with Assembly officials during the upcoming construction phase.
Speaking on behalf of the traders, leadership of Kaase expressed profound gratitude to the Hon. DCE and the Bia East District Assembly for remembering their community and taking decisive steps to provide a modern trading center. They pledged their unflinching support and cooperation to the Assembly throughout the execution of the project.
