In compliance with the statutory provisions of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), the Bia East District Assembly successfully convened its 3rd Quarter District Planning Coordinating Unit (DPCU) Meeting at the Assembly Hall.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including Heads of Departments, Decentralized Agencies, Development Partners, and representatives from civil society organizations, to track progress on ongoing interventions and strategically deliberate on the future development roadmap of the district.

A major highlight on the agenda was the presentation and comprehensive review of the Draft 2027 Annual Action Plan (AAP). The session provided a platform to address bottlenecks, optimize resource allocation, and foster inter-departmental collaboration. Regular DPCU engagements are essential not only for statutory compliance under Act 936, but also for upholding transparency, accountability, and participatory governance.
By actively preparing the 2027 Draft Annual Action Plan early, the Bia East District Assembly reinforces its proactive commitment to continuous local governance and sustainable community development.
