In line with statutory requirements under the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), the Bia East District Assembly has successfully organized its statutory Mid-Year Performance Review Session on the 2026 Annual Action Plan.
The forum assembled key decentralized departments, District Planning Coordinating Unit (DPCU) members, Assembly Members, traditional leaders, and civil society representatives to assess progress made during the first half of the 2026 fiscal year and align strategies for the remaining half.
The session provided a detailed assessment of ongoing physical projects and socio-economic programs across the district. Key areas evaluated included: Review of feeder road maintenance, school building projects, and community health facility upgrades. Progress on targeted agricultural support initiatives for local cocoa and food crop farmers. Sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs, alongside educational interventions.

To ensure the full realization of the district’s 2026 development agenda, the Assembly agreed on the following action points:
- Strengthening IGF Collection: Intensifying technology-driven revenue mobilization and public sensitization across local markets and business centers.
- Project Completion: Accelerating the execution of stalled or ongoing infrastructural developments before the fiscal year closes.
- Budget Realignment: Optimizing resource allocation toward critical high-priority sectors without compromising service delivery.
