About this department
The Department of Housing advises the Assembly on housing needs and standards in the district and supports access to decent, affordable accommodation.
It handles rent advisory and rental disputes, promotes the use of appropriate local building materials and low-cost housing designs, and works with Physical Planning on residential development standards.
