About this department
The Trade and Industry Department promotes local economic development by supporting the small and medium enterprises that employ most residents of the district.
It facilitates business registration and advisory services, links entrepreneurs to training, credit and national programmes, and supports the orderly management of markets and trading spaces.
The Department also promotes value addition to cocoa and other local produce.
